Organic Loose Leaf Nettle Tea (Urtica dioica) – 100g
At Petal and Herb, we honour the wild, resilient spirit of nettle—a deeply nourishing plant with a long history of traditional use. This organic loose leaf nettle tea is a vibrant, mineral-rich tonic that gently strengthens and revitalises the body from within.
Lovingly grown by trusted organic farmers, each nettle leaf is carefully harvested and dried to preserve its vitality, bringing you a brew that is both grounding and enlivening—nature’s green elixir in a cup.
Nettle Leaf – A Natural Nourisher
Rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and chlorophyll, nettle leaf is traditionally used to support energy levels, hormonal balance, skin health, and overall vitality. It’s a wonderful ally for those feeling run down, depleted, or in need of deep nourishment. Also valued as a natural antihistamine, nettle may help ease hay fever symptoms during allergy season.
Energetic Wisdom
Energetically, nettle teaches healthy boundaries and inner strength. She protects while she nourishes, reminding us to stand tall, speak our truth, and tend to our own needs with love. A grounding companion for times of fatigue, emotional depletion, or spiritual reset.
Tasting Notes
Grassy, bold, and earthy—with a hint of green vitality that speaks of forests, fields, and wild places. Naturally caffeine-free.
How to Brew
Steep 1–2 teaspoons of dried nettle leaf in freshly boiled water for 10–15 minutes. Cover while infusing to retain nutrients. Enjoy hot or cool, and consider re-steeping for a second cup.
Daily Use
Nettle tea can be enjoyed daily as a gentle nutritive tonic. It is especially supportive during periods of stress, fatigue, menstruation, or seasonal transitions. Many people find it particularly beneficial in the morning or early afternoon to restore clarity, energy, and balance.
Cautions & Contraindications:
Although nettle is generally safe for most people when used as a tea, please be aware of the following:
Pregnancy: High doses of nettle should be avoided during pregnancy unless under the guidance of a qualified herbalist. While traditionally used to support pregnancy in some cultures, it may stimulate the uterus in sensitive individuals.
Kidney Issues: Due to its diuretic properties, those with kidney conditions should consult a healthcare provider before use.
Medication Interactions: Nettle may interact with medications for blood pressure, blood sugar, and diuretics. If you are taking any prescribed medication, please consult your doctor or a qualified herbalist.
Allergies: Rarely, some people may experience allergic reactions. Discontinue use if any symptoms occur.
Always consult a qualified herbalist if unsure. Store herbal teas in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For educational purposes only. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
